Beware media, journals, publications, polls, etc... that want to sell you an idea based on statistical studies, surveys, etc.
There is a whole industry that is developed that sells this information and has its own growth agenda. This can be easily influenced by capital and so results can be designed and manufactured to fit a capital agenda. Furthermore - the intent behind these is to create a behavior or belief based upon a set on information (that they provide), the results of which are then multiplied and extrapolated to create the illusion of trend or fact to fit a narrative.
To counter this drive - ask yourself why this is big business and why bother going to the trouble to back up a narrative with the illusion of mass proven data?
Consumption. Your wallet, your paycheck, your attention, your internet scrolling, your time. People that try to sell something to you using those tactics do not care about you or have your best interest in mind. You are just an instrument that they intend to addict to the consumption of ______.
Don't buy into what studies show, or poll results, or data driven marketing. These things are fake. If you are tempted by these paths, take the time to learn the counterpoint to sales pitch you like from the mouths of the opposition - and more importantly - take the time to form your own opinion and reason for any action or belief you choose to subscribe.
Utilize your freedom to think and do not villainize the opposite, that's antithetical to complete thought. Understand the opposite and its implications to your position.
But why write this down, maybe you know this already? In my own experience, I don't run into many folks that take the time to really think about things. They want an answer with a small effort of asking their phone to find the answer. If you are reading this, I desire for you to walk away and acquire a listening spirit. I desire to see more people willing to allow space for their opposite and not lash out at those that disagree with them.
Mostly - I desire people to release their burden of slavery to media and the divisive agenda they sell in all different forms. Question everything you hear from the media, the scientists, the doctors, the experts. They don't care about you so would they be trying to help you?
